Hello!

I am Lisa Demmon. I am the Community Program Coordinator for Deaf Inspire.

We are excited that we have received a grant from DHS’s American Rescue Plan Act: Home and Community based Services.

This grant allows us to establish a program that is designed to be deaf centered with a focus to improve self advocacy and independent living skills for individuals who are deaf plus  between the age of 21-50.

Deaf Plus, what does that mean?  It means individuals that have additional challenges such as having mental health, physical, and cognitive disabilities that creates barriers in their everyday life.

This program is deaf led and conducted by individuals who are deaf and knowledgeable in deaf culture. The staff, facilitators and presenters will be able to deliver information in culturally and linguistically accessible modes.

Deaf Inspire will partner with various organizations that provide services to the deaf community, linking resources directly to individuals that are historically underserved.

If you are interested or know someone who is interested, please fill out the form below.  Someone from our team will reach out to gather more information and set up an intake session.

We are so excited to bring this unique opportunity to the Wisconsin Deaf Community. If you have any further questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out.

Thank you!
